Mileage allowance calculator

How much are your business trips worth this year? Answer in two minutes, official scale included.

You take your car to meet a client, deliver an order or run a training session? Those kilometres are not lost: they are deductible.

The amount depends on three things: how far you drove during the year, your vehicle's tax horsepower and its type (car, two-wheeler, electric). The scale is published every year and it is progressive: the more you drive, the lower the rate per kilometre.

I spare you the three-column table and the maths on a napkin. Give me your kilometres, I give you your amount.

The calculation

Enter your yearly distance, your vehicle's tax horsepower and its type: you get your mileage allowance, worked out bracket by bracket with the scale in force.

Frequently asked questions about this tool

What is a mileage allowance?

It is the reimbursement of what your business trips cost you when you use your own vehicle: fuel, insurance, servicing, wear and tear. Instead of tracking every expense, you apply a per-kilometre scale that covers the lot.

How is the amount calculated?

You multiply your business kilometres for the year by the scale rate matching your vehicle. That rate depends on the tax horsepower and on the distance bracket: the first kilometres are worth more per kilometre than the following ones.

Who can claim it?

Employees who opt for actual expenses, freelancers and company directors who use their personal vehicle for work. In every case each trip must be justifiable: date, destination, purpose and distance.
