Frequently asked questions
Hi, it's Miles. Got questions before you dive in? That's normal. I've gathered here everything people ask me the most. Can't find your answer? Drop me a line, I reply fast.
The product
It's your mileage expense assistant. You connect your calendar, I spot your trips, calculate distances and the amount of your mileage allowance. You review, you export. No more Sunday-night spreadsheets.
For anyone who drives for work and claims mileage expenses: freelancers, consultants, self-employed professionals, sales reps, small business owners. If you use your own car for business trips, we're going to get along.
Three steps. 1. You connect your calendar (Google or Outlook). 2. I pull your appointments and automatically calculate the trips. 3. You approve your trips in one click and export your summary. Nothing more.
No, never. I work from your calendar and your saved addresses, not by tracking you. Your battery and your privacy will thank you.
Getting started
Go to the Addresses section and click Add an address. Give it a label (for example "Office" or "Home"), type the address — assisted search suggests matches as you go — then save. Tick Default address so it becomes the departure (or arrival) point suggested automatically on your trips.
In the Vehicles section, click Add a vehicle and fill in its details: make, model, its fiscal power (in CV) and its engine type (combustion or electric). Those last two feed the calculation (see the next questions). You can tick Default vehicle so it's picked automatically on your new trips.
It's the number of fiscal horsepower units (CV) of your vehicle, shown on your registration document. The mileage scale depends on that power: I use it to apply the right rate to your trips and work out the correct amount. Without it, I can't match the official scale.
Because some scales, like France's, grant a bonus for electric vehicles. By setting the engine type in your vehicle's details, I apply it automatically whenever the country provides for it — nothing for you to work out.
To add one, click Add a trip: pick the date, the vehicle and the departure and arrival addresses (with the round trip if needed), and I calculate the distance and amount right away. To edit one, open it and change the address, the vehicle or the date: I redo the calculation on the spot.
Yes. Add an appointment with an address in your Google or Outlook calendar, then run a sync again in the app: I pull the new trips and create them. Appointments already imported are neither re-imported nor recalculated — so no duplicates, only the new ones come in. If you don't always fill in the location of your appointments, untick “Only scan appointments that have an address” in My account → Connection: I then pull in every appointment, and all that's left is to complete the arrival address of the ones that really were trips.
Tour mode is for chaining several visits in the same day, like a round of appointments. You switch it on with the Tour mode toggle, when creating a trip or right on an existing one. A tour leg isn't a round trip: I count the real distance from one stop to the next, without doubling it. Legs from the same day are grouped together with their subtotals (km and amount), and you can add the leg that brings you back to your starting point.
Mileage allowances
I calculate the distance of each business trip, then apply the official scale of the relevant country based on your vehicle's fiscal power and the total kilometres driven in the year. The amount shows up for every trip.
By default, the official scale currently in force in your country of residence (for example the tax authority's mileage scale in France). From the Account page you can also pick another supported country's official scale, or define a custom scale: one rate per kilometre for each vehicle category (car, motorcycle, moped), for example the one your employer imposes. On every change, you choose whether it applies to all your trips or only to future ones. Official scales are updated when the authorities publish new rates.
Covered. When a country's scale grants a bonus for electric vehicles, I add it to the calculation automatically. You just set the engine type in the vehicle's details.
Yes. You can edit an address, switch the associated vehicle, change the start and end address. You stay in control, and I redo the calculation instantly.
Multi-country
Five countries are available today: France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom — each with its own official scale, currency and distance unit. New countries are added regularly.
Drop me a line and tell me your country. Adding a country means integrating its official scale: we handle requests by popularity. In the meantime, you can use a custom scale: enter your per-kilometre rate for each vehicle category and I'll compute everything with it.
Yes. Each country has its currency (€, CHF, £…) and its unit (kilometres or miles). For example, the British scale applies in pounds and miles, with the 10,000-mile threshold handled automatically. Everything shows in the right currency and unit, with no guesswork on your side.
Free plan & buying a year
You get the full product over three calendar months: the month before you sign up, the month you sign up, and the following month. Within those three months there is no cap on the number of trips and every feature is included (calendar scan, calculations, exports…). Trips dated outside that window stay visible but locked.
Yes. Your free window starts on the 1st of the month before you sign up: that month's trips show up and you can process them — calculate, review and export them — to start on real data, with no cap on their number.
It stays visible in your list, but locked: I hide its distance and amount, and you can't edit, review or dismiss it. You can still delete it. To work on it, you need to buy the calendar year it falls into.
No — it is frozen at sign-up and never slides. Sign up in October and you keep September-October-November, even when you come back months later. Your account itself never closes though: you can always come back to view, edit and export the trips inside your window.
No. The free plan needs no card: you get your three calendar months, with no cap on the number of trips. You only pay the day you decide to open up a whole calendar year.
A whole calendar year: 1 January to 31 December. You pay for it once, and every trip dated inside that year becomes calculable, editable, reviewable and exportable. It is not a subscription: nothing renews, nothing is charged afterwards, there is nothing to cancel.
Yes, the ones dated inside that year: they become editable, reviewable and exportable again, and you can scan your calendar over those months. Trips dated outside stay locked, and your free window stays yours.
Nothing automatic: no renewal, no charge, nothing to cancel. Your account stays open and you keep access to that year's trips — viewing, editing and exporting them — for as long as your account exists. To work on another year, you buy it whenever you want.
Yes, as long as it is offered in your account. Years are independent and each has its own price: buying one changes nothing about the ones you already have, and you can buy several.
Payment
Credit and debit cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay to pay in one tap from your phone. You pick what suits you.

Data & privacy
Your data is hosted on secure infrastructure and is never resold. We only collect what's needed to calculate your allowances. Our privacy policy explains it all in plain terms.
